Unlike other times in your life when you will have professional photos taken, senior photos are all about you. It might be your first time getting professional photos taken, so it’s natural to not know where to start. I am passionate about mental health and I understand that building confidence can change and even save lives. Being a St. Louis senior photographer has given me the chance to see firsthand how photos can affect your confidence! Having photos of yourself that you feel great about can do incredible things for your self-esteem. The first step to loving your senior photos is being prepared and knowing what to expect during the planning stage and during your session.

A Personalized Process
Instead of offering generic tips and guidance, I walk my seniors through the entire process. You can expect custom support, a planning session, and photos that actually reflect you and your personality when you work with me. There isn’t typically a lot of advice out there for seniors planning a photoshoot, so it’s my goal to enlighten and educate each of my clients so that they can know exactly what to expect and how to plan for their session!
What to Expect
The planning begins with a consultation where we will talk about what you’re hoping to get out of your senior session. After you decide which package is right for you, we will set up a planning session where we can go over outfits, locations, and how to incorporate the things you love into your photos. I’m there every step of the way to answer your questions about outfits and get you prepared to be in front of the camera! View sessions on the blog or Pinterest to find inspiration. On the day of your shoot, you’ll receive VIP treatment from your hair and makeup artists and I will hype you up all day long! Don’t even worry about a hair being out of place—I got your back! When it’s gallery reveal time, you get to select your images and they will be delivered to you and ready to use!
The Client Experience
Nothing can describe the feeling I get when a client reacts to their senior photos. I mean, seeing someone truly love photos of themselves (possibly for the first time) is incredible. The process I use makes your experience that much better. I am here to make sure that we create photos you LOVE, not just photos that are close enough. In case we haven’t met, I’m Bea—St. Louis senior photographer! My senior year wasn’t exactly a high school dream. I struggled with confidence and was constantly comparing myself to others, especially on social media. Personally, I hated my senior photos. I showed up unprepared and didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t feel good in front of the camera and it showed in my photos. My senior photos did more harm to my self-esteem than good. It wasn’t until my freshman year of college that I truly embraced who I was and found the confidence I was lacking.
Now I get to help empower other young women and help them to find that confidence. I want to give you an experience that I didn’t get to have and show you how beautiful you are just being yourself!
